As a current university student I should have been down Trafalgar Square scribbling some half wit slogan and smashing bus stands in the name of 'education'. I was in bed.
In fact, I'm geting a little angered by it all. Yes, fair enough if you believe in something make sure your voice gets heard. But don't refer to terrorism and act like mindless hooligans.
A definition of terrorism is: "the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion". That's what you're doing. Do you really think in this current political climate the government will respond to terrorism?
Surely as "educated" members of society, you can use that "education" to think of a better way to assert your disgust at the education plans than acting like a Man City Fan after a horrible loss to Man United.
Sticking anarchy flags on a police van you've destoryed doesn't make anyone feel sympathetic. The police are facing huge cuts as well and half of them will probably be out of a job by next year.
I'm not having a go at anyone's right to protest but what irritates me is that the rest of us have to pay for the actions of a few. Peaceful protests are always admirable but those burning police vans and exerting violence, you're not aiming to get lower fees, you're aiming for anarchy.
